Free YMCA Horizon Afterschool Program
Y Horizons provides a safe and challenging environment for middle school students in an after school setting. The program is designed to engage students in hands-on activities that promote health, wellness, academic growth, leadership skills, and confidence. Each day youth get a snack, homework help, and participate in activities facilitated by Y staff, community partners, and volunteers.
Y Horizons after school clubs include:
LEAF in Schools and Streets performing arts clubs
Asheville Museum of Science STEM Club
FEAST Healthy Cooking Club
Outdoor Education
Music and Arts
NASA STEM Club Challenge
Youth in Government
Sports and Wellness
And more!
Schedule:
Planned start date: November 4, 2019 (subject to change, official date will be announced soon)
Monday-Thursday
School Dismissal - 5:30PM Structured Activities (snack, homework help, clubs, etc)
5:30-6:30 Free Time and Parent Pick-up
Camp Horizons
In addition to the after school program, Y Horizons offers a grant-funded summer day camp that’s no cost to parents. Students enrolled in our after school program get first spots in summer camp.

Enrollment Forms are available in your school office, or on our website. https://ymcawnc.org/academics
Please complete all four pages of the enrollment for and submit to your school office. You will be notified when your application is received.
