Welcome to
Valley Springs Middle School

Home of the Rams

I am so proud to serve the students, staff, and all members of the
Valley Springs Middle School community.

2018-19 marks the tenth school year for which I am honored to serve as an assistant principal at Valley Springs Middle School.

My goal is to foster a school environment in which our students, families, and staff members are excited to be part of the
Valley Springs Middle School community.

I hope to see all students, families, and staff members displaying the qualities and tenets of what it means to be a RAM.

I want everyone to be Responsible when making choices.

I want all students and staff to Achieve to the best of their ability.

I want everyone to be Mindful of their thoughts, their words, and their actions.

I want everyone to Strive to reach well beyond what they believe is possible.

I am deeply honored and privileged to serve alongside so many talented and dedicated professionals who make Valley Springs Middle School an amazing place to teach and learn.

Before joining Valley Springs Middle School in 2009, I was employed with Henderson County Public Schools.

During the nine years I was employed with HCPS, I taught seventh grade students math and science. I also coached softball, basketball, and volleyball.  Beyond the classroom,
I also served as an assistant principal at
North Henderson High School and Flat Rock Middle School.

My husband, Travis, is an eighth grade ELA teacher and wrestling coach at
North Buncombe Middle School

Together, we have two sons who attend
Estes Elementary School.

We Are All Proud to be Part of the
Buncombe County Schools Family!
